Hello, my name is Jennifer VanReese, and I have been teaching 6th-12th grade band and general music in the Onamia Public School District since 2003.  My current teaching assignment includes senior high (9th-12th grade) jazz ensemble and concert band, junior high (7th-8th grade) band, 6th grade beginning band, 7th grade general music, and several one semester senior high electives, which include class beginning piano, CIS Musicology, and CIS Evolution of Jazz. I graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree in 2002, and I finished a Master of Arts in Music Education degree at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul in 2009. The title of my masters' thesis was Methods Used by Teachers of Beginning Band Students to Develop Tonal and Rhythmic Audiation Skills.  

When I am not teaching music, I enjoy traveling, reading, writing, and bowling.  I am a huge Twins fan, regardless of how many play-off games we may lose to the Yankees.
